Mr. Papagiannopoulos has been a principal of Common Progress since its establishment in 1984 and has more than 37 years of experience in shipping.

Mr. Papagiannopoulos has been elected since 1996 on the Board of Directors of the Union of Greek Shipowners and since 2006 in the Executive Committee of the Union including Committee Chairman of the Seaman’s Social Security and Labour Issues. He is currently President of Bimco and an elected member of the Executive Committee where he had served since 1998 as an elected member of the Documentary Committee. Since 2004 he has also been an elected member in the Greek Committee of Det Norske Veritas (D.N.V.). Mr. Papagiannopoulos has been elected (2006) in the Executive Committee of International Chamber of Shipping, (I.C.S.)

Mr. Papagiannopoulos holds a BA in Law from the National University of Athens, an MSc in Economics from Queen Mary College, University of London, an MA in European Integration from University of Reading and a PhD in Economics from Queen Mary College, University of London.

Closing Keynote Speaker Dr. Kostantinos Rokkos Dr. Kostantinos Rokkos is Chief Executive Officer and a Chairman Director of TST International SA, partner at TST International Group.
Dr. Stamatios Arkoulis Dr. Stamatios Arkoulis is an Analytics Professional with extensive experience in Remote Monitoring Systems for large infrastructures (photovoltaic parks, logistics, vessel fleets, etc.).
Eftihia Benaki Eftihia is the IT Manager of Minerva Marine Inc. and has been with the company for 17 years. Her expertise lies in information systems, design of IT strategies and leading IT transformational projects.
Efthymios Chaldeakis Efthymios Chaldeakis is a Mechanical Engineer with postgraduate studies in applied Informatics. He possesses more than 25 years’ experience in Shipping.
Achilleas Choursoglou Achilleas Choursoglou is Member of BOD of AMMITEC, IT Advisor and previously IT Manager of Olympic Shipping and Management SA (Onassis group) for 21 years. Previously was also I.T Manager at Pirelli Hellas for 3 years and Deputy I.T. Manager and System Analyst at Fertilizers Company (Lipasmata) of group Bodossakis for 14 years.
Panagiotis Felesakis Graduate of the NTUA school of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, has been working in TMS-DRY’s Technical Department for four years now.
PhD Ioannis Filippopoulos A “technology architect” and a “team leader” with a passion exceptional aptitude for working with computers combined with an astounding academic background in computer and network engineering (PhD) and business management (MBA). Skilled in implementing, maintaining, supporting, developing and designing technology systems ensuring a reliable and efficient network to keep the organization running smoothly and profitably.
Panagiotis Kouris Panagiotis Kouris was born in Athens and right after his studies he joined the family-owned IT company Office Line LTD, which in 2009 was converted into SA, serving the company as Chief Executive Officer, until today. Panagiotis holds several degrees from major global IT manufacturers and is actively participating in many international conferences as a considerable member and a distinguished keynote speaker.
George Laios George Laios is currently the Business Development Manager of NJ Goulandris Maritime Inc. Prior to his current position; he had worked for almost 15 years in the shipping department of the Royal Bank of Scotland, where he last held the position of the Senior Director, Ship Finance.
Zacharoula Lempesi Mrs Zacharoula Lempesi has an extensive working experience in HSQE Management roles at highly reputable shipping companies for 23 consecutive years and currently she serves as HSQE Manager at Empire Navigation Inc.
Dimitris Makris Dimitris Makris is the IT Manager of Andriaki Shipping Co. Ltd, part of the N.J. Goulandris Group, since 1996. Having more than 23 years of experience in information systems analysis, computer programming, data integration & consolidation and also having managed major ICT projects, Dimitris retains his strong commitment to fully align the services he provides with his company’s business plan.
Stratos Margaritis Studied at the University of Bergen, Norway, Department of Informatics. Currently Solutions Architect at Navarino. R&D Manager at SRH, designed and developed the SRHNet.
George Nanos Mr. George Nanos works as Regional Sales Manager of DNV GL’s Maritime Software Solutions, with responsibility for the markets in West Mediterranean and Africa. In addition to his knowledge in Software from his current role, he has also international experience and record of completed engagements and projects as Internal Auditor and Consultant of ThyssenKrupp AG and Project Engineer for electrical and electronic systems for ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems.
Gadi Z. Naveh Gadi works closely with Check Point's Threat Intelligence and Research & Development teams to help customers understand the current threat environment and how they can prevent attacks.
Phd Nikitas Nikitakos Prof. Nikitas Nikitakos is a graduate of the Hellenic Naval Academy and of the Department of Engineering and Economics from the University of Piraeus. He also holds an M.Sc. in Computer Engineering and Applied Mathematics from the Naval Postgraduate School USA. He has graduated from the National Defence Academy and holds a PhD in Electronic Engineering and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens.
Nikos Nikolodimos Nikos Nikolodimos graduated from the University of Kent at Canterbury in UK with a Master’s degree (MSc) in Broadband and Mobile Communication Networks. Since then he has worked as a Senior IT Systems Infrastructure Engineer and specialized in high availability systems, storage SANs and virtualization solutions counting 8 years of experience.
Vasilios Nikou Naval Architect, with strong engineering background. Specializing in ERP systems, performing full level professional analysis, refinement and documentation of company’s business requirements, including them in the development and implementation of integrated systems.
Dimitris Panou Mr Dimitris Panou has over 20 years of experience in the shipping and IT industry and for the last 10 years he is the Data Analyst & Performance Engineer in TMS Tankers Ltd. Previously working as a software engineer in Helintec SA, has been involved in the design and development of software applications for shipping.
John Pavlidis John Pavlidis supports corporate environments more than 10 years as a System Administrator, with experience in large scale networks and ISPs.
Stratis Pelekidis Stratis is an Innovation Architect in the DGTAL Team in EMEA South, engaging with customers in the region to unleash their transformation potential. He combines the industry view, the SAP roadmap for the industry and innovation projects that SAP is engaging in, to create holistic views on industry reinvention.
Themistoklis Sardis Mr. Themistoklis Sardis is the IT Manager of Costamare Shipping Company S.A. He has twenty years of experience in the shipping industry and is a founding member of AMMITEC.
Giannis Tagkalos MSc in Information Security from Royal Holloway, University of London. He has multiyear experience in the field of security governance as well as in systems and data security technical issues. For ten years, he worked as an Information and IT Security Analyst at the banking sector.
Panos Theodossopoulos Panos is a Founding Partner & the CEO of Propulsion Analytics. He has held several management positions in Sales, Business Development, Services and Marketing, in the ICT sector, both in Greece and abroad.
Christian Vakarelis Christian Vakarelis is the VP, Media Communications of Navarino, responsible for Europe, and focuses mainly on the Scandinavian market. Based in London, Christian Vakarelis has been with Navarino for 7 years.
Panelist Kosmas Christidis Admiral (ret.) Kosmas Christidis, originating from “Konstantinoupolis”, graduated with flying colors from the Naval Academy in 1980 as Class Leader.
Panelist Rossella Mattioli Rossella Mattioli joined ENISA, the European Union Agency for Network and Information Security in 2013 and has over 10 years of experience in the IT industry. She promotes cyber security in critical infrastructures, IoT and transport infrastructure in Europe.
Panelist Stelios Sabanis Stelios Sabanis is the Head of ICT at GasLog, driving both ICT strategy and day to day operations onboard and ashore. He has close to 20 years experience in managing ICT operations for LNG, dry cargo, tankers, chemical tankers.
