Richard Meeus is a highly experienced professional in designing and building secure solutions, working in pre/post sales and consulting. With a strong track record of 20+ years in EMEA, including continuous knowledge building in MEA countries, he has worked on some of the world’s largest enterprise security solutions through Mirapoint, followed by being a key pre-sales executive at Prolexic – now owned by Akamai – as it spearheaded the DDoS protection space.

As a Service Line Manager and Senior Enterprise Security Architect at Akamai, Richard was in charge of the security pre-sales team in EMEA, focusing mainly on cloud-based DDoS and WAF services. His next professional step led him to managerial positions in NSFocus and Oracle’s Dyn and Zenedge.

Most recently, Richard serves as the Head of Security Strategy at Akamai EMEA.
